Why the Best Websites Are Built for Change
The best websites aren’t designed for today. They’re built to adapt as organisations evolve.
New partnership
We’re really pleased to announce we’ve started working with the University of Bristol, collaborating with their research teams to build digital tools that help assess and measure research impact.
The University needed a custom web platform to help researchers demonstrate the real-world impact of their work. Traditional assessment methods weren’t flexible enough to handle the varied nature of academic research—different disciplines, different outcomes, different ways of measuring success.
They needed something built specifically around their assessment framework, not an off-the-shelf solution retrofitted to academic requirements.
Custom WordPress platform for research impact assessment. Researchers input data, track progress, and generate funder reports. Built with ACF and custom post types, allowing flexible relationships between projects, outputs, and evidence. Conditional logic adapts forms to research context.
This was a collaborative build. We worked closely with the research team throughout development, iterating on the assessment logic and refining the interface based on real user testing with researchers. The result is a tool that feels purpose-built because it genuinely is—designed around their specific workflows and requirements.
We’re looking forward to supporting the University of Bristol as the platform evolves. There’s already talk of additional modules for different research assessment frameworks, and we’re excited to see how the tool develops as more teams use it.
This partnership continues our work with research institutions and universities, helping translate complex academic requirements into digital platforms that actually work the way people need them to. If your organisation needs custom tools built around specific workflows, we’d love to hear about it.
